On Jan. 29 CHAMPS Group Purchasing was pleased to have Devin Creasey, training and sales executive for MedRx, host a CHAMPS Talks webinar for our members.

MedRx is a manufacturer of pc-based audiology diagnostic equipment since 1994. Their equipment is designed specifically to help diagnose hearing loss and dispense hearing aids with a focus on agility and innovation.

Devin’s webinar focused on several pieces of audiology diagnostic equipment:

AUDIOMETERS (A2D & STEALTH)
Both audiometers are small, lightweight and portable with a tinnometer option available. The Stealth Audiometer is meant for a clinical setting and has a frequency range of up to 20,000 Hz.

REAL EAR MEASUREMENT (REM SPEECH+ & REMSP)
Both are lightweight, portable systems designed to verify hearing aid performance. The REM Speech+ is a more durable system that measures both ears at the same time. The REMsp is ultra-small and measures one ear at a time.

AUDIOMETER AND REAL EAR MEASUREMENT COMBO (MEDRX ARC)
This all-in-one system is lightweight, portable and durable. It includes a tinnometer option, a frequency range of up to 8,000 and can measure both ears simultaneously.

VIDEO OTOSCOPES (ANALOG VO & USB OTOSCOPE)
Both are high-end otoscopes that are great for ENTs and hospital settings. The Analog VO connects directly to a monitor or computer software. The USB Otoscope must connect to a computer to capture images and video.

HEARING INSTRUMENT TEST BOXES (RECD & PC-BASED)
This hardware is designed to test hearing aid functionality using 10 standard instrument tests that compare it with manufacturer specifications. The RECD version integrates with REM software to perform RECD and allows simulated REM fittings with RECD measurements. The PC-Based version uses only a USB connection to a computer and offers multiple test setups. It is NOAH, TIMS, BluePrint and Sycle.Net compatible.

Is one of these pieces of audiology diagnostic equipment the right fit for your setting?
