CHAMPS Group Purchasing is pleased to recognize Matthew Fikaris, director of dining services at Laurel Lake, a CHAMPS GPO member, for being recognized with a Premier Foodservice 2019 Illuminating Excellence Award.

The Illuminating Excellence Award is given out each year to 10 foodservice directors nominated from across the nation and judged by a panel. The award recognizes the recipient’s:

• Accomplishments and improvements in operations at their specific facility.
• Accomplishments and associated results within the organization that may not relate to departmental operations, but support the values and mission of the organization.
• Activities within the Premier organization.
• Professional activities outside the Premier organization.
• Achievements and community activities within the last year.

Fikaris will be acknowledged with his Illuminating Excellence Award at the Premier Culinary Creation Dinner on Wednesday, June 19, during their 2019 Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition.
