The CHAMPS Group Purchasing contract calendar provides suppliers with notice for the time periods when CHAMPS GPO will be reviewing specific contract categories and the opportunity to submit a proposal for a contract.
Below you will find a listing of scheduled contract categories, category descriptions and a link for registration for the category. Each category will remain open for the full three months of the designated quarter and all proposals will be reviewed in the following quarter.
Contract categories will be scheduled on an ongoing basis and scheduled review periods are subject to change. If your product/service does not fall into a scheduled category and you wish to submit a proposal for CHAMPS GPO review, please click here.
If you are a currently have a contract with Premier in a particular category, you will not need to participate in the RFP. CHAMPS/Premier members will have access to pricing through our relationship with Premier.

This category provides employers with third party background checks and pre-screening services to potential candidates. This includes background checks, license verification, drug screenings, reference verifications and other applicable testing. Suppliers may also provide reporting capabilities, continuous monitoring and a tracking system. |

Exam Gloves |
This category includes non-sterile latex, vinyl, nitrile and polyurethane gloves. Examination gloves are routinely used in healthcare and numerous other industries to provide a protective barrier from blood and bodily fluids, or to prevent direct contact with other people or substances. |

Fetal Monitoring |
This category includes equipment that provides continuous bedside monitoring during the antepartum and intrapartum periods to assess the fetal and maternal physiological conditions during the labor process and pregnancy period. Primarily fetal monitoring consists of the electronic monitor that monitors fetal heartbeat and the mother’s uterine contractions during childbirth and the related consumables. |

Physiological Monitoring Systems |
This category includes physiological monitors for all areas of patient care, including central stations, bedside monitors, an ambulatory telemetry system and vital sign monitors. Depending on where the physiological monitor will be utilized, it can be configured to display waveforms and numerical data for various parameters (e.g. electrocardiography (ECG), respiratory rate, noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP), invasive blood pressure (IBP), body temperature, etc.). Vital signs monitors included in this category are typically used, but not limited to, the periodic measurement of vital sign parameters (e.g. NIBP, pulse oximetry and temperature). Telemetry monitors can be used throughout all patient care areas where a facility feels they are necessary. |

What should I do if I have a question about the contract documents or process? You may send an inquiry through clientservices@champsgpo.com. Be sure to put the RFP category and the name of your company in the subject line.
How long will it take to hear back on my submission?
RFPs will be open for a calendar quarter. You will receive an initial acknowledgement of your submission. Thereafter it will depend upon the questions we have regarding your submission. Once you have received our acknowledgement, it is possible that you will not hear anything until after the close of the open RFP period.
What happens after I submit my documents?
Your submission will be acknowledged and assigned to a Sourcing Manager. During the following quarter, all submissions will be reviewed and compared, questions will be clarified and there will then be a committee review. In the following quarter, CHAMPS will finalize agreements with the supplier(s) who are recommended by the committee.
I don’t see a contract calendar category that my product would fall under. Can I still submit an inquiry?
Yes. You can still submit an inquiry through our “Become a Supplier” web portal.
How do I check on the status of my contract inquiry/bid?
You may send an inquiry through clientservices@champsgpo.com. Be sure to put the RFP category and the name of your company in the subject line.
My contract category bid period isn’t for another 2 years. Am I able to submit an inquiry sooner?
You may, however, it is likely that CHAMPS will defer review to the contract calendar unless there is a special reason to consider your proposal/product off cycle. We also recommend that you monitor the Premier contract calendar for open RFPs. Any contract written with Premier will be available to our members through our Premier affiliation.
Can I resubmit an inquiry/bid if my business was previously denied a contract with CHAMPS? If so, how often?
You may submit a bid during any open RFP period. If your proposal was deferred or denied prior to the establishment of the calendar, you should resubmit during the first available cycle.
Will I be given a reason why I was not selected to move on in the process?
Yes.
What do I do if I need to make a revision to my bid/inquiry?
Please send us an email through clientservices@champsgpo.com advising us that you need to make a revision. Be sure to put the RFP category and the name of your company in the subject line. Revisions from suppliers will only be accepted during the open RFP period.
