Greetings! I’m the national account manager for CHAMPS Group Purchasing (GPO)’s surgery centers and physicians members. I’m excited to have the opportunity to introduce myself and the diverse group of members I work with.
My membership base is interesting because I have the opportunity to work with small organizations, such as a single primary care office, all the way up to a nationwide specialty group. There’s a lot of differentiation in practice, too. Some of the different types of medical practices I support include cardiology, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, ENTs, OB/GYNs, orthopedics, urgent care and more.
I joined CHAMPS in April 2018 as a sourcing manager, working with suppliers to develop contracts that fit the needs of our members. In March of 2020, I took on this new role as a National Account Manager just before the COVID-19 pandemic really changed the way we all work and live. It was definitely a challenge but I’m proud to have supported our membership during such a volatile and uncertain time.
In that same vein, what’s most fulfilling about my work is knowing that I can make a difference for our membership. I pride myself on being able to develop relationships with clients, identifying savings opportunities and being a trusted resource for any and all procurement needs. I recognize that we are a unique organization for businesses to get involved with – As a CHAMPS Group Purchasing member, we help organizations, no matter the size, save on products and services you buy every day. Best of all, you pay no fees and can use as many contracts as you want, with no commitments and no penalties. That can almost sound too good to be true! But it is true, and as a national account manager, I make it happen daily for my surgery centers and physicians members.
